Background

The Centre d’assistance et d’accompagnement aux plaintes – Laval is almost 25 years old. All those years have enabled us to offer services ever better known by the population and strengthen the organizational structure, as well as our operation.

A Provisional Council was set up by the Comité des organismes sociaux de Laval (COSL) in order to evaluate the needs, identify appropriate means to different situations and establish a permanent structure that will adequately meet the mandate. The Council created a temporary reception service to meet the user demand.

The opening of a temporary office at 4, Place Laval. The setting up of a reception service for all Laval health and social services’ users. The organization began its operation in May 1994 under the management of Mr. Jean Bélair.

It obtains its letters patent. The legal name is:

Opening of a permanent office at 674, boulevard des Laurentides, Laval.

Foundation general assembly. Founding of the permanent Board of Directors. Seven (7) members were elected.
